In regard to your message sent to the Bucharest Transport Company (STB SA), registered with no. 73160, we would like to inform you that, following the checks carried out, regarding the series of the bank card sent by you, respectively 4554, it has been found that there are no records in our bank files.

Since you did not send us the bank card series associated with the mobile banking application (first and last four digits), we are unable to carry out checks (you report in the complaint that: “I tapped my iPhone on the machine (contactless) to use Apple Pay to pay for the bus fare”).

If the payment of the trip is made directly via the phone / watch with integrated wallet, it is made by using a virtual bank card, which belongs to the same bank account, but whose number is different from the physical card (for reasons of cyber security), this is why the number of the bank card registered in the validator system does not coincide with that of the physical bank card held.

Traveling without a valid ticket is considered a contravention, and according to the regulation of the local public transport community service for Bucharest and Ilfov county, the fine set for this offense is between 300 and 500 lei. In this case, passengers may pay on the spot a ticket with special rate – surcharge, with a value of 80 lei and the ticket inspectors will not write a report on the offense.
