In regard to your message sent to the Bucharest Transport Company (STB SA), registered with no. 67358/14.07.2022, we inform you the following:

After checking the reported situation, we found that that you bought from Metrorex two passes with a validity period of 24 hours, at the price of 8 lei each, and not from our sale center, which were valid only for traveling by subway. If you wanted to travel both by subway and by surface transport, you should have purchased integrated passes, valid for 24 hours, at a price of 14 lei each.

The control activity is carried out by our ticket inspectors, in order to ensure optimum safety and order conditions within the surface public transport vehicles and to combat fraudulent trips.

When asked by the ticket inspectors, passengers must provide the tickets they are using and the owners of nominal subscription or credentials must provide, on request, their IDs.

Traveling without a valid ticket is considered a contravention, and according to the regulation of the local public transport community service for Bucharest and Ilfov county, the fine set for this offense is between 300 and 500 lei. In this case, passengers may pay on the spot a ticket with special rate – surcharge, with a value of 80 lei and the ticket inspectors will not write a report on the offense.
