In regard to your message sent to Bucharest Transport Company (STB SA), registered with no. 63805/15.04.2022, we inform you the following:
When traveling with the public transport vehicles operated by STB SA, please note that the trip payment by SMS or 24pay app must be made before boarding vehicles.
After checking the reported situation, we found that on April 15th 2022, at 17:29, you purchased by SMS the ticket no. 351110 and by 24pay the ticket no. 11257221 after the bus doors were closed, and the bus was already moving. Therefore, this is the reason why the ticket inspectors issued the surcharge card. Also, the ticket inspectors stated that you bought the tickets only when you saw them, and they have behaved appropriately towards you, giving you information on how to pay for the trip.
The control activity is carried out by our ticket inspectors, in order to ensure optimum safety and order conditions within the surface public transportation vehicles and to combat fraudulent trips.
When asked by the ticket inspectors, passengers must provide the tickets they are using and the owners of nominal subscription or credentials must provide, on request, their IDs.
Traveling without a valid ticket is considered a contravention, and according to the regulation of the local public transportation community service for Bucharest and Ilfov county, the fine set for this offense is between 300 and 500 lei. In this case, passengers may pay on the spot a ticket with special rate – surcharge, with a value of 80 and the ticket inspectors will not write a report on the offense.
