In regard to your message sent to Bucharest Transport Company (STB SA), registered with no. 63805/11.04.2022, we inform you the following:
After checking the reported situation, we found that the ticket inspectors checked your card on March 24th 2022, at 14:48, on line 447, and they saw that you din not have a valid ticket. Unfortunately, the ticket you validated on line 447, at 12:57, was already expired at the ticket when the control activity was carried out. Therefore, this is the reason why the ticket inspectors issued the surcharge card.
Please note that the payment for one metropolitan trip allows the use of surface public transport vehicles in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region, within a period of 90 minutes. After the validity period of the ticket expires, it may be used only in the vehicle in which this situation occurred, until the next station. Subsequently, the trip can be continued only by paying for a new ticket.
More details are available on our website, at the following link: https://stbsa.ro/eng/trips_eng.
The control activity is carried out by our ticket inspectors, in order to ensure optimum safety and order conditions within the surface public transportation vehicles and to combat fraudulent trips.
When asked by the ticket inspectors, passengers must provide the tickets they are using and the owners of nominal subscription or credentials must provide, on request, their IDs.
Traveling without a valid ticket is considered a contravention, and according to the regulation of the local public transportation community service for Bucharest and Ilfov county, the fine set for this offense is between 300 and 500 lei. In this case, passengers may pay on the spot a ticket with special rate – surcharge, with a value of 80 and the ticket inspectors will not write a report on the offense.
We regret any inconvenience you have faced and we thank you for your understanding!
